As the 2020 comes to an end and we embrace the promise of the New Year, my husband Sean and I have adjusted our sails and are changing course. We have sold our primary residence in Hull, MA, where we lived for 30+ years and have bought a small RV so we can tour the U.S. and figure out our next chapter of where we want to live and call home.
Sean is fully retired and I will keep my business that I love. The pandemic was a great teacher for working with clients remotely. We have outfitted the RV with electronics and connectivity devices, enabling me to stay in touch with and serve clients needs, no matter our location.
Like a lot of people our age, we've lived in the same place most of our lives raising our family while living in a beautiful place. Now we have the opportunity to explore different options. Also, our home was a great asset to sell to maximize the return on that investment. We're not sure where we want to live, given our small frame of reference. We are seeking a bit warmer climate with a growing season longer than 4-5 months, an environmentally sound area (not polluted by chemicals or fracking), friendly, diverse community with some cultural amenities and a lower cost of living with good tax laws for aging adults. Not too much to ask, is it?
We will take off from the Northeast on January 26th and head South, probably stay in Florida through February. From there we will head West, then North, then back East.
We will keep you updated about our journey here, with pics, information, stories and revelations. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!!!! With much love and wonder for 2021!!
